Answers to the questions we hear most often about our boat tours from Agios Ioannis and our activities all over Pelion. Can’t find what you need? Contact us or message us on WhatsApp/Viber at +30 693 673 7028.

Where do the boat tours start?

From the small port of Agios Ioannis in East Pelion. Look for the Pelion Activities flag and the boarding ramp, and please arrive 15 minutes before departure.

Can you pick us up from Damouchari or Chorefto?

Yes, for both boat tours – but only if it is arranged at least one day in advance. Message us on WhatsApp/Viber at +30 693 673 7028.

Which boat tour should I choose?

The East Pelion Mini Boat Tour (about 3 hours, €60 per adult) visits hidden beaches and coves with swimming stops. The Poseidon Caves tour (about 4 hours, €75 per adult, maximum 12 guests) goes further to the sea caves, with swimming, snorkelling and more of the history and myths of the coast.

Are the tours suitable for children and babies?

Yes. Children aged 3–17 pay a reduced price and infants (0–2) travel free. Please tell us their ages when you book.

What should I bring?

Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Snorkelling masks or goggles and fins are a good idea for the caves. Water is available on board.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If the sea is too rough, we move your booking to another date or give you a full refund.

When is the season?

The boat tours run daily from May to October. Many other activities – hiking, the Pelion train, cooking lessons and the Meteora day trip – are also possible outside the summer season.

What other activities do you offer in Pelion?

Sea kayaking to the Fakistra caves and at sunrise, hiking in Tsagarada, canyoning, mountain biking, horse riding, archery, paintball, the historic Pelion steam train, a Greek pie cooking lesson, boat rental and a full-day trip to Meteora.

How do I book and pay?

Book online on each activity page and you get instant confirmation by email. You can also call or message us at +30 693 673 7009 or email info@activities-pelion.gr.

Can we book a private tour?

Yes. Both boats can be booked privately for families or groups – contact us for availability and price.

How do I get to Agios Ioannis?

It is about 1 hour 15 minutes by car from Volos. Our sister company Volos Transfers offers private transfers from Volos, Volos airport and Athens or Thessaloniki airports.
