overview
Taste the wines of Thessaly in a stone cellar in Portaria
Discover the wines of Thessaly with a guided tasting in the traditional stone cellar of Agora 1955 in Portaria, the village at the foot of Mount Pelion. Your host Christos guides you through the land and the winemaking tradition of Thessaly, with a selection of wines from its best-known vineyards: from the foothills of Mount Olympus to the slopes of Pelion above the sea.
You taste wines from Rapsani, Tyrnavos, Mesenikola and Pelion, served with a plate of local cheeses.
Whether you know a lot about wine or are just curious, it is a relaxed and friendly way to get to know Thessaly through its wines. It pairs well with our cooking class at Karaiskos Farm, also in Portaria.
